To verbose, the nickname came out of my love for partaking in the enjoyable venture of igniting high grade cannabis (choof) while basking my shakespearean dome (top) in the lavishing sounds of harmonious melodies.
The longer answer being, while I'm a big fan of metal, like a giant fan of metal, I wish to keep Choof.Top mostly reserved for the more relaxed music you would find in genres such as, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B and so forth. I know for a fact there are metal ballads and the like out there, however just as Country and mainstream Pop likely won't make many appearances, there are tracks out there that fit the overall vibe of ChoofTop, and thus at times, will indeed make appearances.
Pretty much anything I hear that actually has passion poured into it (even angry rap feuds) and feels relaxedly brilliant, will definitely be featured here. Sometimes passion comes in the form of technical majesty, other times it appears as unbridled, youthful ressonance.
While I do my best to mix it up, so you don't end up with seven straight days of hip-hop for example, I'm not perfect and it might have slipped through the cracks. Whereas other times I might be on a tangent for a particular sound I'm digging at that moment in time. Again, I try my best not to let this happen.
If you honestly feel a certain genre gets too much, or not enough, attention, please feel free to contact me via this form. :~)
Before you contact me with your music/link/etc, please take your time to go through some of the amazing tunes I've posted on this site. Don't just look at the names of the artists and tracks, actually listen to them. Then ask yourself if your music fits the vibe of what gets shared here.
If you honestly feel your music belongs here, who knows, maybe you're the next big thing, then contact me via this form.
If indeed your music does fit the style of content going on here, but for some reason I don't dig it fitting here, give me a chance to come back to it. Just because you share something with me that you feel fits, it does not mean I will 100% share it here, nor does it mean I don't dig it. It might just be a piece of a different puzzle.
No. Advertising has both bloated and ruined the Internet. I wish to do my part and return it to a golden age of information over the pop up rubbish that has been long overflowing.
However if you have a track that you think would fit the style of Choof.Top, feel free to get in touch with me here. Again, I make no guarantees I will actually feature anything you send me.
